SKATE CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS

The HHF Woodward Scholarship has been our cornerstone program since the establishment of the Harold Hunter Foundation in 2007.

Every summer we send a group of kids from inner-city NYC neighborhoods to attend Pennsylvania’s Camp Woodward, the premier action sports training camp and facility. HHF campers are provided with all necessary skateboard gear, transportation and spending money.

In August 2010, we expanded the program and flew two scholarship recipients to California to attend the Element YMCA Skate Camp. With support from Element, in 2011 we hope to send five HHF campers.

Since the inception of the Skate Camp Scholarships program, we have sent 34 kids to skate camp. In return, HHF campers are required to volunteer service hours in their local community.
